Deivid Dias
GFTeam DC Head Coach
Deivid Dias was born in Nova Iguaçu and raised in São João de Meriti, in Rio de Janeiro state. He stepped onto a jiu-jitsu mat at 13 years old — and the mat never let him go. He earned his black belt in the direct Fadda line, under Ataíde Rafael, and is a member of the GFTeam Hall of Fame.
His record: IBJJF Pan American Champion, IBJJF American National Champion, AJP Grand Slam Miami Champion, IBJJF Master World Championship medalist, eight-time IBJJF Open Champion, two-time Fight 2 Win Champion, and NAGA Double Gold in 2025.
Today he leads WDC BJJ — GFTeam DC in Takoma Park, Maryland, teaching the same line he received: Maeda to França, Fadda to Monir, Júlio César to Ataíde — and now, from his mats, to the next generation. He is also the author of Build on Pressure.
