Nilxon Ventura
Gym Manager & Kids Coach. Before he ever ran a gym, Nilxon was an athlete — a college goalie and a champion on the superfight stage. Today he is the first face your family meets at the door, and the coach your kids will run to when class starts. Your child's first class is free.
The athlete who became the operator

Nilxon Ventura
If you have visited WDC BJJ, you have met Nilxon. He runs the academy day to day — the schedule, the mats, and the door check-in every student passes through — and he coaches the kids program alongside Professor Charlene Dixon.
He came to this gym from behind a different net entirely: Nilxon was a goalie for New York Tech (NYIT), where the whole job is reading the play before it happens and staying calm with the action coming straight at you. Those same instincts — positioning, patience, composure — are the ones he teaches on the mats.
A blue belt under Professor Deivid Dias, he has won on the superfight stage as a competitor, taking titles at Fight 2 Win and the Brave Challenge. As a coach, he brings that competitor's eye to a room full of six-year-olds — and somehow keeps both the intensity and the fun.
His rule at the door: learn every new child's name in the first five minutes. Nobody stays a stranger at WDC BJJ.

Claim a Free Trial →Check-in is his system
Every student checks in at the door, and Nilxon runs it — attendance, who is new, who is trialing, who needs a buddy. For a child's first class, he pairs them with a buddy, learns their name in the first five minutes, checks in with parents mid-class, and follows up with the family that same night.

Everything you're wondering
Nilxon runs the check-in at the door. Arrive about 15 minutes early and he will check your child in, introduce them to the coaches, and pair them with a buddy for their first class.
Yes. The kids classes are built for beginners ages 4–12, and most of our students started with zero experience. Coaches scale every drill to the child in front of them, and the first class is free.
Nilxon and the team follow up with parents the same night — to hear how your child liked it and answer your questions, with no pressure either way.
Comfortable athletic clothes (no pockets or zippers) and a water bottle. Arrive 15 minutes early and check in at the door. Enrollment includes a free uniform.
Programs vary by how often your child trains, and we don't publish prices online. Come try a free class, and we'll walk you through the option that fits — with no contracts or long-term commitment.
